The film cost an estimated $190 million to make, and currently holds an 88 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The summer kicked off with “Iron Man 3” then held strong with a better than expected opening for “The Great Gatsby”. Theaters are expected to stay busy with the release of “Star Trek” and that with two more sequel waiting to be release by Memorial Day.

Box office receipts are faring better than last year when “The Dictator”, “Battleship”, “Dark Shadows” and “What to Expect When Your Expecting” opened to dismal success.

Until next weekend
