A couple of weeks ago Forbes release a list of the top paid actors for the past year. Forbes released a the list of the top paid actresses in Hollywood. The list took into account the earnings from June 2012 to June 2013.
And the top 5 highest paid actresses are…
$33 Million
The majority of her earnings stem from her upcoming movie “Maleficent”, which opens Summer 2014. This is Jolie’s return to a big budget film in recent years. Her last big year was 2010, when she had “The Tourist” and “Salt” debut. Jolie has worked behind the scenes, directing “In The Land of Blood and Honey”. Last year Jolie ranked 4 earning $20 million, without opening any film.
2. Jennifer Lawrence
$26 Million.
Hollywood’s new It girl, and America’s newest Sweetheart. Lawrence rose to #2 due to her staring in the hugely popular Hunger Games, and “Silver Linings Playbook“, for which she won an Oscar. She received a huge pay raise for the second installment of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire“. Additionally she is filming “X-men: Days of Future Past“. With the last book in the Hunger Games series split in two installments, Lawrence would once again secure a spot on next years list.
3. Kristen Stewart
$22 Million.
That was my exact reaction. Buoyed by “Snow White and the Huntsman“ and “Breaking Dawn’, Stewart secured a spot on this years list. With an absence of big budget movies, Stewart is more than likely to fall from the list in the next couple of years.
4. Jennifer Aniston
$20 Million
With Wanderlust the Aniston’s only film in 2012, the majority of her earnings comes from Friends residuals. Her next film “We’re the Millers” opens in August.
5. Emma Stone
$16 Million
Stone made her big budget debut with last years “The Amazing Spider-Man“. Before this film, she has worked steadily. With two movies in post production, “Bird man” and “The Amazing Spider Man 2” There is no dount the talented Stone would appear in next years list.
$15 Million
Theron made the bulk of her earnings from endorsements, notably from Dior. Along with Stewart, she starred in “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Prometheus” . Theron notably cut her locks to film next years “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
7. Sandra Bullock
$14 Million
With an exceptional year in 2009, Bullock has made a return in 2013. She appeared in “The Heat” which has earned an estimated $142 million in the U.S, and next she can be seen in “Gravity” along side George Clooney later this year

Portman profited from appearing in Marvel’s Thor franchise, with “Thor: The Dark World.” opening November.
9. Mila Kunis
$11 Million
Despite her recent success, Kunis still voices Meg on Family Guy. Kunis appeared in two high grossing films the past year, “Ted” which earned $549,376,732 worldwide and “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” which earned $489,570,996 worldwide. She can next be seen alongside Robin Williams in “The Angriest Man In Brooklyn“.
10. Julia Roberts
$11 Million
The bulk of Roberts earning are due to endorsements, mainly Lancome, her only other film was “Mirror Mirror” which was not a huge financial success. She can be seen next in “August: Osage County”
